  3. Siang ikan dan cuci bersih. Kelar-kelar sikit ikan tu. Lumurkan dengan garam dan tepung jagung. Goreng sampai masak. Kalau saya suka ikan tu agak garing. Angkat dan ketepikan dulu.
  4. Panaskan sedikit minyak bekas goreng ikan tu. Masukkan bahan-bahan tumis*. Tumis sampai layu dan naik bau. Masukkan pula cili kisar. Masak sampai cili garing dan pecah minyak. Masukkan thai cili paste, sos cili, sos ikan dan gula. Kacau sebati. Masak sampai pecah minyak.
  5. Masukkan bahan-bahan **. Gaul sebati. Rasa masam masin manisnya. Kalau kurang boleh tambah. Sos ikan tu masin, jadi rasa dulu sebelum tambah garam. Padamkan api.
  6. Tuangkan kuah atas ikan. Hiaslah sesuka hati.
