Kisar bawang besar, bawang putih dan halia dengan 1/2 cawan air sampai lumat. Panaskan minyak dan butter. Tumis daun kari, serai, akar ketumbar, dan sebiji tomato didadu.
Tambah daun bay dan 4 sekawan. Kacau sampai naik bau. Masukkan bahan kisar dan serbuk kari. Kacau sampi semua garing dan pecah minyak.
Tambah 1/2 cawan air dan perasa dengan garam dan gula. Kacau dan biar mendidih.
