  1. Mula2 buat minyak bawang putih : basuh bawang putih beserta kulitnya kemudian tumbuk. Panaskan minyak (saya guna minyak zaitun) kemudian tumis bawang putih beserta kulitnya hingga garing. Biarkan sejuk.
  2. Kelar2 ikan kemudian lumur dengan air limau nipis, garam dan sedikit serbuk perasa.
  3. Lumur ikan dengan bahan2 kisar termasuk bahagian dalam ikan.
  4. Bentangkan aluminium foil dan lapik daun pisang di atasnya. Letak ikan yg sudah dilumur bahan2 kisar tadi. Taburkan daun limau purut.
  5. Tambahkan minyak bawang putih. Balut kemas.
  6. Bakar dalam oven 180°C selama 30 minit (api atas bawah) atau guna pembakar atas api dapur (terbalik2an). Jika bakar dalam oven setelah ikan masak boleh buka aluminium foil dan bakar lagi guna api atas untuk keringkan sambalnya jika suka.
